Course (formerly Track A) Scholarship Development Grants support the redesign of courses in which students participate in the creation of original scholarly or creative projects. These courses will address the Research & Scholarship student learning outcomes and, as such, are eligible to be designated Research and Scholarship intensive (RS). Support is available to support faculty stipends, permanent materials, and other funds needed to successfully adapt or create the RS course.
Departments who submit Course SDGs are required to submit their courses for RS designation within a reasonable time frame. The responsible faculty member(s) are required to attend a short workshop designed to help with designing the course and submitting a success RS application. After the first time teaching the course with the RS designation, faculty will submit an RS course portfolio.
NOTE: FOR Fall 2017, Scholarship Development Grants have been merged with the Curriculum Impact Grants.
